about me
I write about drunk punks in the frozen tundra, about traveling through Mexico during a war, and about the science and philosophy of boredom (and the weirdos, including myself, who study it). Ironically, I also talk frequently at colleges about ways to engage the attention of students who are having trouble getting interested in their academic work.
I’ve recently published essays and stories in Pleiades Magazine, Barren Magazine and New Letters, among others. My work has been supported by grants and residencies from the UCross Foundation, Millay Arts, RF CUNY and the Kerouac Project. I’m an Assistant Professor of Composition at the City University of New York’s New York City College of Technology.
